oh of course.. people bust out the most rare musical equipment to get that instruments distinct mysticism which is even harder to attempt to produce without such gear but yah for sure.. they bust out the a#1 gear for the recording.. its half the fun really

Right, that would make sense, but The Walkmen are definite patrons of ridiculously expensive and vintage gear. I'm saying that it's possible he does have a vault load of vintage cymbals!But of course, it's possible that he plays newer stuff live; I'm just saying that I know for a fact he uses vintage cymbals on their records.
