It is all Scrubs and masks and isolation gowns now. Lord knows how many people died because of the infection those god-forsaken hats spread from patient to patient. Interesting to see the history of our image. Sexy nurses always make me laugh. I would like to meet the person who can make changing a colostomy bag sexy. In Ontario, the hat ceremony has been replaced with a Pin when we graduate, andNurses can start anywhere from 48-78 grand, depending on where you work and what specialty.

Wow, I didn't know this. It just seems like many positions that were predominately female (or became dominated by females later) have been sexualized and objectified.
