for shots that you have to cut, the natural way to play it is with a little bit of outside english, it eliminates the ball from skidding and makes the shot play more naturally. most shots require at least a little bit of english.

freshdressedasian you have to spin the cue ball to play position. Cue ball control is very important to come up with a good shot and clean the rack.

freshdressedasian it's all about how you can control and manipulate the cueball. These guys know so much about where the cue ball is gonna go depending on where on the cue ball they hit that they can pretty much draw a circle about 6 inches in diameter on the table for any given shot and make the cue wind up in that circle to get to the next shot. Mistakes do happen, but in general they manipulate the cue in whatever way they feel comfortable with.
