In addition to that Ben harper does have a better voice and is more versatile with his music. But storytelling is key in any aspect of art. Jack Johnson tells a better story than Ben Harper. They both have their strengths, depends what mood you're in. So i think we have a draw people.

I think Ben Harper takes more risks with his music than Jack. But Jack is a far better storyteller, clever lyrics tied in with the music.from past experiences if you make a Ben harper playlist and hit random there will be many more songs you'll want to skip than if you'd made a Jack playlist, almost every Jack song is a winner.

Ben Harper or jack Johnson? Hmmmmm.....A really hard one as they are "just" two amazing musicians and happed to be my favourites as well XD. Don't know what hos better, as said before "they have a similiar style of music but they are differents"... cloud it be that ben harper can sing better while jackie can play better? hard to say...

@tippa2kk jack has really good melodies but i think from a compositional and instrument base ben is better. Especially when pitted with a live band if u haven't seen it yet watch "Ben Harper live at the hollywood bowl" just search it on you tube for a sample but the versions here dont do the dvd justice. Both good musicians with similar styles and i listen to em both, but for me ben is ahead a lil.

ben harper is alot better in my opinion but music is subective but i think its a fact that ben harper is much more versitile
