Macworld Boston 1997-Full Version

By request, here is the full version of the 1997 Boston Macworld expo where we see Steve Jobs for the first time since returning to work for Apple after being gone since 1985. This was a very historic time for Apple because they were almost bankrupt at the time, so Steve announces a temporary partnership with Microsoft to a very hostile crowd. Bill Gates also makes an appearance.

@PoliticalHell, you are clearly wrong in all respects yet you continue with your nonsensical posts. Not everyone chooses Microsoft. Not everyone falls for their marketing hype. If it was feasible, I would still be using an Amiga.I maintain a large data centre comprising of various platforms (Including W2K3 server) in the day. I do not need that at home thank you very much.Everyone has opinion, and mine is you talk through your anus.

@onezeroeightzero In most cases they sort of are.
onezeroeightzero(November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
politicalhell, you are incorrect. Macs are no more expensive in the long run than PC's. People pick what fits their needs.

Microsofts success isn't to do with good products. Have you had your head in the toilet for the past 20 years?Apple's (recent) success certainly is partly to do with well designed products that fit a need where MS products do not. That and an enthusiastic and dedicated following.

a win for apple is a win for microsoft, since they have large shares now

And yet... here you are
Kippest(November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Oh don't worry about mac and gaming!! I have better things to do than sit around and boast about how great my operating system is..... oh..
PoliticalHell(November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@Kippest Yes, Windows (not "microsoft os") is intended for personal home computers, and has stretched out to business software libraries. Mac OS was dying in the '90s, so Apple decided to push creative arts on it's application libraries, and succeeded. Linux is a programmer's platform, and it's used for servers where being open source and flexible is key.And read my comment again, the creative outlet was implying Steve Jobs. Also, gaming isn't a creative outlet. I'm sorry your Mac can't run any
Kippest(November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@PoliticalHell you are right, it is not about creative outlets (for gamers with no friends). For amateur and professional media workers world-wide Mac OS is above microsoft os (debatable about above various linux or unix based and other though).
