If you kicked the turtle head instead, or can't pick up the key, replace the items and try again. I promise, it is possible. With practice, it gets real easy to pick up any two items (except two enemies) at the same time. The only placement exception is the double springs. Those need placed almost on top of each other, but I digress. Once you get back to the Yoshi block, press up and release the items. You should now get both Yoshis! I'll try and capture this myself, but it is difficult!

If you have done the first two parts right, you should have the key out from under the platform, and be standing on the platform with two wigglers. The important part is to have the key. Now the medium difficult part. Go back and get a turtle head less the koopa inside. Place the turtle head slightly in front of the key. Run into the head first, and then the key to do the double carry trick. You should now have both items in Mario's hands. Make your way carefully back to the yoshi block.

As a hint on the Forest of Illusion level...first you must float back to expose the key, but leave it on the block, and continue floating to the left. Then the hard part. Using the cape, get a running start on the previous long platform. Jump to start flying between the last two trees, and shortly after dive in between the next two platforms. Then use back to keep flying, and barely graze the key. If you do it right, you will be glitch flying and carrying the key.

BTW--I noticed that nobody seems to show too many double yoshi tricks in other levels. There is a lot of fun, and often funny, things you can do with double yoshi. There are many levels you can get a double yoshi. In fact, I know it is posslbe to even get a double yoshi in the first Forest of Illusion level, but it is extremely difficult to get in this one. Probably the hardest. There are many other levels that are easy to get a double yoshi on. I'll capture some of the fun later this week. |
